The bloodiest day for area law enforcement officials began with routine-sounding radio broadcasts that West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert and his wife heard from their car.

One was from their son, Sgt. Brandon Paudert, reporting that he was providing backup for a traffic stop on Interstate 40.

Shooting in Beevile, TX

The Beeville Police Department has released video of an officer involved shooting that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Anthony Albert Ponce on May 31, 2011.

The police officer had pulled Ponce over in the Beeville Walmart parking lot while checking out a reported robbery at a nearby convenience store.
