Man with knife & Hostage Store Near Moncton NB Canada

A man with a knife holding the clerk hostage, at the store inside Lakeside Estates Mini home park off the route 134 in Lakeville just outside of the city of Moncton around 9:30am . District 11 responded and needed 3 units from Codiac RCMP also and they are setting up Perimeter around the store . He has a large knife and was talking to a District 11 RCMP member on the phone .
RCMP asked for the dog , and emergency response team to respond to the scene and a negotiator.
9:45am man is still inside the store, and the owner of the store just showed up and is with police . Weisner road runs down from the Shediac road to the store and also another entrance is Biddington and both entrances are now blocked by RCMP.
10:45am and hostage is still ok and police talking to the suspect on phone . A ambulance was called to be on stand by, close to the scene along with a fire truck. The man was setting something off and door kept opening and the store was full of smoke. Police with the dog moved in front of the store.
Just after 12 noon the man with the knife came out of the store with the hostage wanting the Police to shoot him, he let the hostage go and took off towards the rear of the store, and was later arrested in the woods after a short foot pursuit, just off the Weisner Road and the hostage is safe and her parents were at the scene. People in the crowd watching this unfold told me that it was the girls last day working, as she is going to College.




Cops chase kidnapper in São Paulo

Altamonte Springs Police-Involved Shooting


Dash cam video being released today showing a shootout between an Altamonte Springs police officer and a hotel robbery suspect.
The shooting happened Thursday at a hotel on Douglas Avenue,in Altamonte Springs.
Police were investigating a robbery in progress.

Police pulled over a Ford Focus that matched the description of a vehicle reported to be leaving a robbery at the Remington Inn.

As the car was pulling over, passenger Franklin Ortiz-Castro started to open fire on the police officer though the car window.
Witnesses were just a few yards away during the exchange.

The police officer returned fire on the passenger, Castro, while the driver, Joshua Lopez bailed out, only to be tackled by Solitro and his son who were still standing nearby.

“We took him to the ground and then it was within moments that officers were everywhere,” Solitro said.

The driver, Lopez, was apparently a hostage in the situation. Castro was taken to a hospital, but his condition is unknown.
Apparently he suffered from several gunshot wounds during the exchange of fire.
