Dashcam Video Shows Officer Being Shot, Returns Fire

Dash cam shows a Kalamazoo deputy engage in what the sheriff called the “fight of his life” after being shot in the arm during a traffic stop.
William Wright, 28, launched what would become a seven-hour ordeal for police when he fired the first shots Friday night, as Deputy Jeff Nichols and Reserve Deputy Jeremy Conley approached his vehicle for a traffic stop. Immediately dodging bullets — and taking one hit to the arm — Nichols returned fire as the vehicle fled, authorities said. Conley also returned fire, but is not seen on video.

Vancouver Police released this video Monday showing Const. Mike Laurin being hit in the head with a brick during the Stanley Cup Riot. Laurin suffered a concussion, needed 14 stitches to repair the wound, and was off work for three months
