After the suspect was shot and was still fighting I would have takin’ him down and secured him. It seems to me the officer felt bad for shooting him. WHY WOULD YOU HOLD A CONVERSION WITH THE SUSPECT AFTER SHOOTING HIM? The suspect asked him why he pulled a gun and the Officer answerd him! There is a time for that kind of stuff and during the fight is not it. A baton would have worked nicly. I have been in the same situation, Baton shot to the thigh and he is down for the count.

Great job by the deputy of staying mostly calm in the situation. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

This office need MORE training in handling this situation. That guy had more control than the officer. He’s luck he didn’t get shot again.
